He was the Member of Board on National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for three times and ASSOCHAM, New Delhi.

He was the Founder President of Verna Industries Association.

He is the former President (2001-05 and 2005-09) of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has the distinction of being the youngest and longest serving President of any Chamber of Commerce in the country.

He is the Director of organizations such as M/s Synegra EMS Limited, M/s Govind Poy Oxygen Ltd, Attort Legal Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and EP Biocomposites Ltd. In the past, he was also on Board of Titan Time Products Ltd, Goa and Gigabyte Technologies. He is also on the Board of Trustees of International Centre, Goa. Most recently, he is Founder Director EPIC – Electronic Products Innovation Consortium – a Bangalore-based company formed along with IT sector stalwarts like Padam Shri Ajai Chwodhry, Arjun Malhotra etc., aiming to enable design-led growth in India.

For the past two decades, Mr. Nitin has been playing a pivotal role in bringing together the industry and the government. He is presently a member of bodies such as Governing Council of National Productivity Council, New Delhi and the Governing Council of Electronic Sector Skills Council of India. He has worked as Vice Chairman for Goa Economic Revival Committee and Economic Development Corporation Ltd, Goa. He was director of EDC from 2001-2005 and thereafter Vice Chairman from 2005-2012.

He was Director of Goa Industrial Development Corporation. Mr. Nitin has been a member of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board, Peer Review Committee, Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India and the Goa State Pollution Control Board. From 2007 -2012, he was also part of the Professional Management Group created by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa under the leadership of Mr. Naseer Munji, Ex Chairman of IDFC and Director, Tata Sons board.

His engagement with Education is deep and wide. He is President of Vidya Vikas Mandal, a premier educational Society in Goa managing five institutions. He is a Member of the Board of Governors, IIT Goa, Governing Council, Goa Engineering College, Governing Board, Sharda Mandir High School. He was on the Governing Board of Goa Institute of Management from 2003-2009 noted as one of the top B-schools of India.

Nitin has won several awards, the most noteworthy being the National Business Leadership Award by Economic Growth Society of India in 2013, Giants Award in the field of Business & Industry in 2008, Jaycees Creed award for the year 2006-2007, ‘Best Manager of the Year’ award, 2001 and nominated for “Ten Outstanding Young Individuals” by Indian Junior Chamber in 2002.

• He has been a key speaker at Times Group's Digital India Summit 2015 and 2016 and regularly features on panel discussions organized by National TV channels such as CNBC, ET Now, Times Now, ZEE News, etc. He has been Panelist and Speaker at Delhi Economic Conclave 2013 and 2014, a prestigious international economic event organized by the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. He participates regularly in the Union Budget related consultation process with the Union Minister of Finance and his team every year. He was part of the High-level Organizing Committee for the Global Conference on Cyber Space (GCCS), headed by Hon’ble Union Minister for Electronics & Information Technology, Law & Justice, Govt. of India.
• Although he travels extensively across the globe, Nitin is a true Goan at heart, and is happiest when he is at home with his family, eating his favorite fish curry rice.
• He is blessed with spouse Roopa Kunkolienker, Architect and founder of Goa Décor, daughter Aashna and son Ronit.
• He derives his strength from the blessings of his Goddess Kamaksha and elders including parents and grandmother, while he also attributes his success to his spouse Roopa and his family members. He is always grateful to his various friends specially childhood friends from his native place Kepem, who always showered immense love and care.

Affairs including Industry Association work management. Also, currently the Chairman of CII-OA&I Division.

An Indian Army veteran, Col. Suhail Zaidi, Retd., possesses over 30 years of cross-functional experience in tech & administrative fields. Prior to joining MAIT, he was Head of CII-Tata Communications Centre for Digital Transformation and also led the National ICT Committee at CII between the years 2017 and 2019.

Col. Zaidi, Retd., holds a Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communications and a Masters in Telecommunication from the Military College of Telecommunications Engineering. Besides, he has also attended a Management Development Programme from IIM, Indore.
